32 more days until we are here...

Oh Little Neck... Located in a private community in Ipswich, Mass. I definitely have a FAVORITE vacation spot. If you asked me where I'd want to go if I could go on any vacation, I would say here. If you ask me where I spent the best childhood memories of my life, I'd say here. If you asked me which of my childhood (and adulthood) memories I'm looking forward to sharing with my little girl, I'd say here...

My first summer at Little Neck, I was around ten months old and I learned to walk on the hill in front of my grandparent's cottage. We've gone every summer for various lengths of time since then. We've stayed at so many different cottages, I can't even remember them all. One thing I remember the most is how wonderful it would be to be able to bring my family here one day.

Needless to say... I am thrilled to be bringing my little girl to Little Neck this summer. I plan on recreating pictures of my first visit with Virginia. I'm looking forward to being with my wonderful family and Virginia winning their hearts and wrapping them all around her little finger :) My grandmother (Virginia's namesake) would be so happy to see us all together like this. I believe she will be smiling down on all of us!!!

The view facing out from the "sun deck" of our cottage. The New Beach is just getting ready to pop out with the outgoing tide.

The Twilight Zone, once called the End Zone. Inside it's decked out in New England Patriot colors. As a little girl I used to stop by here on occasion for some candy from Mr. and Mrs. Rodman!

Another view looking to the left off the sundeck. That's the mouth of the Ipswich River opening up to the Atlantic. You can see the hill of Crane's castle.

oh, katie! it's so picturesque! it reminds me of spending Fourth of July every summer up @ my great aunt's cottage on Lake Erie. Some of my most precious childhood memories were made there, much like yours @ Ipswich. I am so happy that you & Jason are able to continue this summer tradition with little Virginia! see you in a few days (when we swing through Atlanta) love ya!
