One Year Ago Today...

We were on our way to the hospital. I was going in for my induction, two days later we had our baby girl. We like to keep September's exciting around here. This year we're just celebrating all these wonderful events (including my mom's birthday on the 18th!). God has been good to us.

Two Years Ago Today...

I was getting married to the most amazing man in the world. I didn't know if I could love him any more than I already did that day, but here we are two years later and I'm more in love than ever.

Happy Anniversary Love.

I love my Husband

So, Tuesday night we were out on a date and we stopped by the mall. We walked into Macy's, and I laid eyes on a beautiful, classic black dress. We were not even shopping for a dress, but I am going to need one for my sister-in-law's wedding so I thought I'd take a look. The price tag read $28 and it was even on the %25 off rack! We take it back to the dressing room and I try it on. You'll have to understand that it's a rare occasion for me to find a dress, try it on and for it to actually fit well... This one did. Jason and I both really liked it, which says a lot.

We go to check out and I ask her to check the price for me, I wanted to know how cheap it was going to be!! So she rings it up and says it's One Hundred and Twenty-Eight dollars. Argh! Part of the price tag was covered up, so I didn't see the ONE. I couldn't help but laugh at the irony... Needless to say we left the dress there. I'm pretty sure I talked about it the rest of the night... Mainly that i just couldn't believe I'd tried it on and of course I would pick the most expensive dress there and no wonder if fit so well, it's One Hundred and Twenty-Eight dollars!!!

This morning I woke up after Jason had left for work, and at the foot of the bed was a box, wrapped in white tissue paper. I sit up wondering what it could be and thinking my man is so sweet to buy something for me. So I open it and it's the DRESS!!! He and Virginia went back to the mall last night while I was at my ladies' meeting and he bought it for me.

For us, that is A LOT of money to spend on something like a dress. I'm pretty sure, other than maybe one bride's maid dress and my wedding dress of course, that it is the most expensive piece of clothing I own. But even considering all of that... it's not the dress that melt's my heart. It is that my amazing husband would sacrifice his hard earned money to show me, in a practical way, that he loves me more than himself and wants to bless me in such a way as this.

I just wanted to share that all with you as well as honor him for the loving, caring, generous man that he is.

I love you babe! Thank you for loving me and for asking me to marry you. Thank you for working your regular job and side jobs to provide for us. You are my best friend and I love you more than words could say.

One Year Ago Today...

We were getting ready to say our vows!

Yep. One year! It has, by far, been the best year of my life. I didn't know I could love him anymore than I did that day. But I do. I love him so very much, he is my best friend, and there is no one else I would rather spend every moment with. There is so much more i could say, but I wrote all that in his letter this morning. All you need to know is that I am married to the most amazing man in the world! He loves me, he makes so many sacrifices for me, he leads me, he cares for me, he can make or fix ANYTHING, he makes me laugh and giggle, and he is going to be the best father ever! I love you so much! Happy Anniversary!!!!!

A Weekend Away

Jason and I celebrated our anniversary a week early with a two night get-a-way in Buckhead! It was the perfect weekend and the perfect place and I'm so glad we had that time together. Here are some pictures...

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel. Quite luxurious! We even had bath robes!
My personal favorite, the deep tub! When you're almost nine months pregnant things like this are very important! :)
Our favorite place to eat, as you'll notice, because i have the most pictures of
THE FLYING BISCUIT!

No, I didn't really eat the sugar cube. But I really wanted to!

MMMMMmmmmmmmm... Thank the Lord for my insulin, or I couldn't have enjoyed that biscuit :)
We took Marta downtown to do a tour of the World of Coke. That was an adventure!

Jason sampling some of the normal flavors...

|We had an amazing time and I am so grateful for my husband's generosity and the Lord's provision in allowing us this time away to celebrate one year together as well as our last few days without a third in the family :)

I love my husband...

because when I came home from being gone for five days, he brought me flowers...

Not just any flowers mind you... One was a hand carved, hand painted wooden flower and the other was a framed picture of a beautiful flower that he took while in Guatemala last year.

These are the perfect flowers because I don't have to water them, they won't start to smell funny, and I won't have to throw them out when they start to rot!

Thank you Love for my flowers!

One Year

Well, I was a little remiss in posting... On May 12, we celebrated one year since we were engaged! And what a whirl wind year it has been! It has also been the best year of my life, so far.

I love being married to this man! The amazing thing is that as the years go by, it will only get better and better and for that I am truly grateful and very excited!

The Best Valentine's Day EVER!!!

Not only was yesterday Valentine's Day; it was our five month anniversary and our first Valentine's Day together! And, it was the best ever!!

I started the fun a little early in the week... I found a really great idea from a friend's blog that I copied and it was silly and fun. I hid little chocolate hearts around the house for Jason to find. Then I made a list of things he could "redeem" the hearts for on Valentine's Day...
Yesterday, I cut a heart in his sandwich for lunch and packed little heart candies, he got a kick out of that. Silly, but fun :)

I got LOTS of roses throughout our evening! As well as some beautiful red tulips!

I also got this cute little guy :)

Dinner was AMAZING! We went to Buckhead Diner downtown. We both got the twin filet Blue Plate Special. So yummy! I could only eat one filet, but I'm looking forward to some leftovers tonight! I was so grateful to not be feeling sick on such a fun evening!!!

And of course there was dessert! A delicious Granny Smith Apple pie that we split.

I am so grateful for such a wonderful day to celebrate! I've never had a real Valentine on Valentine's day before!! Love, thank you so much for an amazing evening and the way you honored me and blessed me all through the evening. I loved getting roses all night and never knowing what to expect next. I had a wonderful time and I love you so much and I am so grateful that I get to spend every day with you, loving you, not just Valentine's Day!!

My Husband's the Best Because...

He sent me flowers at work! I don't have a picture, but I just had to say that because it blessed me so much!!
